DO
- Condition with cooking oil before first use
- Wash in warm soapy water using products such as Bar Keepers Friend or Bon Ami
- Preheat on medium heat for 2-3 minutes before adding food
- Use plastic, nylon, or wooden cooking utensils
DON’T
- Wash in the dishwasher
- Leave foods that are high in acid or salt in it, as this can darken the cooking surface.
- Put in the oven during the self-cleaning cycle
- Soak in water for prolonged periods when cleaning
- Use Magnaware cookware under a broiler, over a campfire, or in a microwave oven
- Use on induction stoves without adapter or on gas grill
- Overheat the pan/pot so it doesn’t warp
- Cool too quickly with cold water i.e. causing a thermal shock after cooking
- Use metal cooking utensils
- Store foods in the pots after cooking as this can cause blackening of the surface
- Boil plain water or cook pasta/noodles in the pot.
